GMI Architects worked together with local neighborhood groups to address community opposition to renovations and additions to the Arbour Hospital, a psychiatric hospital located in a neighborhood of older Victorian homes. The placement and architecture of the two new additions provided a design solution acceptable to the most ardent neighborhood opponents.  The result is a 118 bed general psychiatric hospital. GMI Architects received an AIA New England Design Award for this facility.
